GENUINE DIAMOND WAFER

IS IN FONGSO TECHNOLOGIES

Diamond, which has variety of excellent physical and chemical properties, is with low thermal expansion coefficient, high hardness, high stiffness, high luminous transmittance, high chemical inertness, low coefficient of friction, high thermal conductivity, low specific heat, wide band gap, radiation resistance, corrosion resistance, high surface acoustic wave, electric non-conductance and biocompatibility, so most scientists around the world have tried to seek different methods to achieve a variety of applications according to diamond characteristics.

Early stage (dawn of diamond device development), the application was limited to the size of natural diamond is too small and expensive. It was getting more applications gradually of the past 20 years due to the rapid (radical) development of synthetic diamonds. However, commercialization and mass production are still restricted due to the bottle-neck of nano-grade polish for diamond wafer and dimension limitation to cause the application could not satisfy some demand of high-tech industries.

In the 2001, Fongso Technologies Co., Ltd. decided to develop own CVD diamond vacuum equipment and nano-grade polish equipment to develop high-purity (quality), larger size with nano-grade polish diamond wafer (Diamond film on Si substrate) and hope to get mass production capability for the utility applications.
